Lucknow, February 28, 2026: The vibrant campus of Bansal Institute of Engineering & Technology (BIET), Lucknow, came alive on Friday as it hosted its much-anticipated annual cultural fest, SRIJAN 26. The evening commenced with a formal welcome to the Chief Guest, Prof. V. K. Singh, Former Vice-Chancellor of Maharaja Ganga Singh Vishwavidyalaya, Bikaner, Rajasthan. He was received by the institute’s Chairman, Mr. G. S. Agarwal, with a bouquet presentation, setting the tone for the ceremonial proceedings.

The programme formally began with the traditional lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest, Chairman, Director and Chief Proctor — a symbolic gesture signifying the triumph of knowledge over ignorance.

Delivering the welcome address, Chairman Mr. Agarwal introduced the Chief Guest to the gathering and highlighted the institute’s achievements over the past year. In his keynote address, Prof. Singh lauded the institution’s academic progress and encouraged students to pursue excellence with dedication and integrity. He also felicitated meritorious students with certificates and extended his best wishes for their future endeavours.

The cultural segment of the evening featured an impressive lineup of performances, including energetic dance routines, theatrical presentations, melodious singing acts and innovative technical model displays.
